Trying to pick out memories with my dad is difficult as there was so many (29 years worth)...
But I'll mention a few,
I must of been 6/7 and was in Occombe Valley woods, and there was the famous rope swing, you and Rob were swinging on like it was your natural habitat, me on the other hand was petried. After many tears, and you telling me man up and not to knock something untill you try it, I finally gave it ago, I loved it untill I accidently let go and fell into a stream! Instead of rushing to your daughters aid, you stood there wetting yourself laughing, then decided to come and check on me! (I was fine, just slightly wet)
Another one that brings to mind, involves me being an absolute wimp again... Break water beach, I think every single member of our family have memories with you on this beach. But this one time, you and Rob were jumping off the rocks into the sea, this rock is about 5ft high, when I was little it looked about 50ft. You and Rob kept telling me to jump in as I'd love it but yet again i was to scared, it got to the point, you and Rob said either jump or we'll throw you in (nice one) so I just went for it and whilst jumping I was praying I would survive this great height lol. Turned out I loved it and the rest of the afternoon was spent jumping in.
Dad, you have filled my life with fun, laughter, happiness and so much love! You are an absolute inspiration to so many people on how to handle life, you really are one in a million.
I love you so so much Dad, my heart is broken knowing you're gone, but my heart is also full of warmth and love when I think about all our memories and happy times together. You had your sense of humour until your final hours making everyone laugh. Goodbye for now dad and ill be with again someday ❤️
